Description
Pre-order delivery and pickup separation ensures that orders scheduled for future dates are handled independently from immediate orders. Each order is classified by order timing (normal or pre-order) and fulfillment method (pickup or delivery). Payments are confirmed through webhooks, after which pre-orders remain scheduled until their assigned time. Once the scheduled window approaches, the system automatically activates the order for preparation, routing it either to the pickup queue or delivery workflow. This separation prevents early preparation, simplifies operations, and improves delivery planning and customer experience.
