Today I worked on and developed improvements for the AI-based virtual try-on feature for our jewelry website, focusing on accurate placement and realistic appearance.
Developed logic for earring try-on so earrings align correctly with the ear lobes only, avoiding placement on cheeks, jawline, beard, or other facial areas.
Improved handling of earring positioning issues such as floating, misalignment, and symmetry errors while preserving the original face and lighting.
Worked on fixing necklace try-on issues where necklaces were incorrectly overlapping the face and shoulders.
Developed accurate necklace placement behavior so necklaces follow the natural neck and collarbone shape, hang naturally with gravity, and remain restricted to the neck and upper chest area.
Ensured facial features, skin tone, beard, lighting, and pose remain unchanged to maintain a realistic and trustworthy try-on experience.
Suggested enhancements using landmark-based anchoring, region masking, and depth-aware placement to improve overall accuracy and stability.
This work improves the realism, usability, and customer confidence in the “Try On Me” jewelry feature.
