Customer experience
- Customers can enable browser push notifications so they can receive order updates when the shop is open in the browser and, where supported, when it is in the background.
- Order notifications appear in the site’s notification bell, giving customers a place to review order activity.
- Selecting an order notification takes the customer to the related order details.
- Push alerts are deduplicated so the same update is less likely to appear repeatedly.
Warehouse and manager experience
- Warehouse notifications are available in the relevant picker, packer, dropper, and manager screens.
- Alerts identify the order and describe the warehouse action needed.
- Selecting an alert opens the related order in the warehouse screen, helping staff act on the update directly.
- Duplicate alerts are filtered across notification surfaces so one event is not repeatedly displayed.
Packing workflow
- When an order reaches the packing stage, the notification shown is “Ready to pack.”
- The same status update no longer produces a separate “Ready to pick” notification.
- This keeps the packing alert available while avoiding two different messages for one transition.
