1. Executive Summary of Completed Work

Over our sessions, we executed an end-to-end upgrade of the Evergreen POS Help Guide, focusing on:

Accurate Screen-to-Content Documentation: Replaced generic and outdated placeholder documentation across core modules (Quotes, Invoices, Jobs, Admin, Vendors, and Purchase Orders) to mirror the exact UI fields, statuses, metrics, and actions visible in real application screenshots.
Global Layout & Responsiveness Fix: Resolved layout breakdown where the navigation sidebar was squished and images overflowed the viewport (flex-shrink: 0; min-width: 280px; min-width: 0;).
Sidebar Architecture & Navigation Sync: Added 20+ categorized Admin sub-navigation items (Orders, Merchandising, Content, Trust, Fulfillment, Growth, Settings, More) and integrated Purchase Orders into the Purchase dropdown.
Interactive Active State Styling: Implemented active and sub-active hover states (#259800) across sidebar menus and submenus.
Codebase-Wide Character Sanitation: Scanned and purged legacy mojibake characters (✅, âž, â–¼, etc.) replacing them with clean typography and standard HTML entities.

1. User Management Documentation Overhaul (modules/userManagement.html)
New Role Documentation: Added full documentation and deep-link section anchors for Contractor and Customer Service Manager (CSM) based on newly provisioned system roles.
Image-to-Content Synchronization: Audited and aligned content against all 8 active screen captures (user-list.png, Admin.png, Manager.png, Contractor.png, Partner.png, Fieldstaff.png, Cashier.png, CustomerService.png).
Role-Specific Workflows:
Partner: Detailed revenue-share splits (Share() Partner Brings Customer, Share() EvergreenFarms Brings Customer) and category-specific tiered commission mapping.
Contractor: Scoped work orders, financial margin/cost concealment, field execution, and mobile photo uploads.
CSM: Customer enquiry triage, quote follow-up pipelines, and service ticket dispatch.
Cashier & Field Staff: POS billing boundaries, register shift balancing, and mobile task checklists with 1-click clipboard copy shortcuts.
Navigation: Integrated top-level pill anchor bar (<ul class="roles">) for instant in-page jumping.
2. Quotes Module Defect Fixes & Tag Cleanup (modules/quotes.html)
Syntax & Nesting Rectification: Resolved HTML corruption at line 376, eliminating duplicated container divisions and malformed unclosed <ul>/<li> tags.
De-duplication: Removed duplicate list items under Next Action Selection (Approve, Send Acceptance Link, Close) and redundant Pagination Controls headers.
CSS Correction: Corrected duplicate CSS selector syntax (.sub-title { .sub-title {).
Asset Verification: Validated all 11 screenshot image paths (Quotes.png, archived-quotation.png, createQuote.png, immediateInvoicecreation.png, etc.).
3. POS Billing Module Complete Visual Alignment (modules/pos.html)
Visual Accuracy: Rewrote all sections to 100% reflect the latest screenshots (pos-main.png, Add-Customer-Product.png, Product-Selection.png, Product-Payment.png, pos-bill.png).
Documented Touchpoints:
Main POS layout: 12-product card grid, favorite bookmarks (❤️/♡), live stock count badges, and empty-cart customer binding requirement.
Quick customer creation modal (First Name *, Last Name, Email, Phone *).
Order summary panel: line-item quantity steppers ([-]/[+]), + Misc. Products custom charge link, discounts, tax exemptions, coupon codes, and order type (Take away vs Delivery).
Multi-tender payment allocation: Card reader terminal selection (Stripe/CPP), Zelle, cash drawer with change calculation, and manual card key-in.
Printed store receipt: metadata (SR-20260518-008), itemized billing, cash tender change returned, and scannable transaction barcode.
4. Sidebar UI & Navigation Defect Resolutions (index.html & js/script.js)
Disappearing Button Text Fix: Fixed critical CSS bug where .has-submenu.open applied green text on top of hover/active green background (#259800), rendering menu labels invisible. Implemented clean high-contrast styling: soft mint background (#e8f5e9) with dark green text (#1b5e20) when open, and crisp white text (#ffffff !important) on hover/active states.
Automatic Submenu Expansion: Resolved issue where submenus collapsed on page navigation and only appeared when manually clicked. Added .has-submenu.open > .submenu { display: block !important; } and updated setActiveMenu() to automatically expand parent categories and highlight active sublinks on initial load and route changes.
In-Page Anchor Interception: Added smooth scrolling and active state tracking for internal documentation links.
