Until now a subscription plan could cap how much a tenant used, but not what they could use. A tenant on the cheapest plan could still onboard to Stripe Connect, enable delivery integrations, and send SMS — the plan had no way to say no.

Plans now carry explicit restriction flags for Stripe onboarding, delivery services, SMS and email. Enforcement lives in a single check in the subscription-limits service, called from each of the four entry points, so the rule is defined once rather than re-implemented per feature. A blocked tenant gets a message naming their plan and pointing at an upgrade, not a generic error.

Alongside this, plans gained a trial interval with a configurable duration. New tenants are now assigned the trial plan automatically rather than being given a bare seven-day window with no plan attached, which previously left them in a state the limits system couldn't reason about. If no trial plan is configured, tenant creation still falls back to the old seven-day behaviour — the change can't break signups.
