Today I worked on the Projects module. In the Installation stage, "Assign Job" no longer navigates away to the Create Job page — it now opens the same job-creation form in a modal on the stage itself, for both Panel Installation and Electrical Wiring, pre-filled with the job type, installation category and project, so the user never loses the project context; on submit the job is created and the project and jobs list refresh immediately, and the assigned team member's name now appears right away instead of only after reopening the project. I also fixed a bug in that stage where the Wiring tab was showing the Panel crew's names in the "Assigned to" line. In the SREC Part 2 stage, the "Completion of Inspection (COI)" document slot now tracks the COI stage: when the slot is empty the COI document populates automatically, and when it already has a document (as on our existing production projects) the stage shows a small "COI stage has N document(s) not in this slot" note with an "Add from COI" action instead of merging silently — this was deliberate, because older projects often hold a separately uploaded copy of the same certificate with a different file URL, which cannot be recognised as the same document and would otherwise be listed twice. The "Auto-fetched from earlier stages" banner was also corrected to flag any slot that gained documents, not only slots that were completely empty.
