Today we worked on several UI and bug fix improvements for the Evergreen POS frontend. We started by adding count badges beside status filter tabs on list pages to match the reference design from the Users page, and added stats cards for the deleted assets section on the Asset Management page. We also implemented count display formatting on the cards and reduced the card and image sizes for a more compact appearance.
Next, we fixed a click event propagation issue on paid expenses in the Expenses list — clicking the disabled edit icon was incorrectly triggering row expansion, so we added stopPropagation on the action cell to prevent that. We then enhanced the stats Card component to automatically display distinct Material UI icons for each card title instead of using the same icon everywhere, and restyled the cards to match the reference design with a compact height, light green background, green border, and green count color.
In the Action History tooltip for Expenses, we fixed two issues — the dates were showing in the browser's local timezone instead of the store's timezone, so we replaced the date formatter with the company timezone utility. We also fixed the sort order so the most recent action always appears at the top of the history list.
Finally, we fixed a widely occurring issue across all list pages where newly created records were appearing at the bottom of the list or on the last page instead of appearing first. We applied fixes to the Expenses list, Expense Type list, Asset Categories, Inventory Categories, and Nursery Customers pages — either by resetting pagination to page 1 after a create action, or by changing optimistic UI updates to prepend the new item to the front of the list rather than appending it to the end.
