Description Edit Coupon Creation 1. Coupon Applicable Module While creating a coupon, the administrator must select the module where the coupon is applicable. Supported modules: POS (Retail Point of Sale) Service Subscription 2. Service Subscription Mapping If Service Subscription is selected: The administrator may optionally associate one or more Service Plans with the coupon. Service Plan selection is not mandatory. If no Service Plan is selected, the coupon is applicable to all service subscription plans. If specific Service Plans are selected, the coupon can only be applied to those selected plans. 3. Discount Type Each coupon must support one of the following discount types: Fixed Amount Discount Percentage Discount The system must calculate the final discount based on the selected discount type. Coupon Validity 4. Coupon Active Period Every coupon must contain: Start Date & Time End Date & Time Business Rules: The coupon automatically becomes Active when the current date/time reaches the configured Start Date & Time. The coupon automatically becomes Inactive once the End Date & Time has passed. No manual intervention should be required for expiry. Note: Coupon validity should be evaluated using the company's configured timezone (currently US timezone). Timezone handling must be verified to ensure accurate activation and expiry across all tenants. 5. Manual Active / Inactive Status In addition to automatic date-based activation: Administrators must be able to manually mark a coupon as Active or Inactive. Only coupons with: Active Status = Active Current date/time within Start and End Date are eligible to be applied during checkout. Coupon Usage Limits 6. Maximum Claims per User The system must support limiting how many times an individual customer can redeem a coupon. Configuration: Maximum Claims per User (numeric value) Unlimited Claims per User (checkbox) Business Rules: If Unlimited Claims is enabled, the customer may use the coupon any number of times until the coupon expires. If unchecked, the customer can redeem the coupon only up to the configured maximum number of claims. The system must validate the customer's previous usage before allowing redemption.
